THE TERRITORY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA MAY BECOME THE 51ST STATE OF AMERICA
April 22, 2021
Delegate Norton has sponsored H.R. 51 which intends to add the territory of the District of Columbia as a State. The goal is to add more seats to Congress. If this bill passes on the Senate floor and signed by the President of the United States, the Mayor of the District of Columbia will issue a proclamation for the first elections to Congress of two Senators and one Representative.
