NFS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

In Celebration of our Two Year Anniversary, this scholarship is designed to assist graduating seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students attending a college or university.

Eligible applicants must submit the following information and materials below.


1. Submit a 200 - 300 word essay in PDF format to answer the following prompt, “Tell New Freedom School why our mission statement relates to you as a young voter in the 21st century.” 


2. A copy of your unofficial transcript that states you are in "Good Academic Standing."


3. List your Instagram social media handle in the email.

4. Follow the NFS Instagram page. 


Submission to the scholarship will be opened in June of 2022.

CHRISTINA WILLIAMS

2021 Scholarship Winner

Christina B. Williams is a senior political science major at Clark Atlanta University. Christina is a leader in the student civic engagement space and has extensive experience serving in various elected student government positions as well as founding and presiding over several campus clubs and initiatives, including CAU Votes. Christina aspires to attend law school following her undergraduate studies in order to become an attorney and utilize the law as a tool to defend the civil rights & civil liberties of marginalized communities. Eventually, Christina wants to run for local elected office in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA.
